Primary Therapist – Full Time

Position Summary

This is a clinical position providing group and individual counseling for clients of Pinnacle Peak Recovery. This position requires a knowledge and experience in addictions and mental health with the ability to make a diagnosis, work with medical staff and complete vital information for Utilization review. The Licensed Therapist will follow clients’ progress from a clinical standpoint from admittance to discharge, keep Clinical Director and Case Managers informed on any issues/problems with any clients and perform all documentation in accord with state licensing requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

 The Psychotherapist/Therapist follows clients’ progress throughout treatment processes:

  •         Responsible for conducting therapy groups weekly.
  •         Meets with clients on an individual basis to create a treatment plan, revise and review treatment plans and perform counseling both individually and in group settings.
  •         Documents progress notes in client files following each individual session.
  •         Maintains contact with Clinical Director and Medical Director regarding individuals’ progress.
  •         Responsible for attending and participating in mandatory weekly staff meetings to discuss client care and all aspects of treatment.
  •         Knowledge of policy and procedure manual relating to program protocol.
  •         Psychotherapist/Therapist performs and maintains professional abilities in the following areas:
  •         Maintain and adhere to all Federal, State, and County regulations regarding client confidentiality and staff code of ethics.
  •         Continuous training in areas where needed, attendance at seminars, continue earning CEUs.
  •         Crisis intervention—recognizing emotional stress and utilizing resources to resolve problems.
  •         Client education—provide current alcohol/drug information and available resources to clients, groups, and families.
  •         Will assess the client’s case management needs and incorporate those needs, goals and objectives in the treatment plan and utilize appropriate staff or referral sources to satisfy client’s needs.
  •         The therapist will establish and maintain contact with the client’s family/significant other/support network as clinically appropriate during the client’s course of care.
  •         The therapist will work with client in collaboration to create and implement a discharge plan and in discharge planning.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  •         Must have at least two (2) years clean and sober.
  •         Have degree and valid license in Psychology, Counseling, Mental Health, Professional Counseling and/or Marriage and Family therapy. (This position will allow 6 months from hire date for the therapist to obtain a Arizona License.)
  •         Additionally, it is preferable that the incumbent have Drug and Alcohol counseling certificate: CAP, CAAP, CRSS, or any other license or certification relating to the chemical dependency field issued in the state of Arizona.
  •         Minimum of two (2) years previous experience in the addiction field.
  •         Ability to prioritize and provide appropriate treatment protocols.

  •         Confidentiality/HIPAA

House Manager (Non-Live In) – Part-time or Full-time

Position Summary

Pinnacle Peak Recovery, LLC is a Scottsdale-based PHP/IOP extended care treatment facility treating adult men and women recovering from the effects of substance dependence. At PPR, our goal is to assist our clients in regaining the life they were intended to have, prior to drug/alcohol addiction. We work together as a multi-disciplinary team, to treat each client individually with the highest level of clinical and medical interventions available. Duties & Responsibilities

  •         Coordinate driving
  •         Drive residents to and from the house to office for Group.
  •         Monitor clients at house when on shift.
  •         All shifts personnel must write a Shift Report concerning Sober House Roster, Sober House Contact Roster and Sober House Meeting Minutes and any significant issues that occurred during their shift.
  •         Vehicle maintenance: (The following statement will ONLY apply if Pinnacle Peak Recovery provides house manager with a vehicle).
  •         This includes all vehicles owned by the Pinnacle Peak Recovery LLC.
  •         Regular vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, inspections, brakes, etc, need to be kept up-to-date.
  •         Cleanliness of vehicles needs to be maintained.
  •  Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  •         CPR (Preferred)
  •         First Aid (Preferred)
  •         Must have valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
  •         Knowledge of the 12 Steps and Addiction (Preferred)
  •         Driver must be able to assist clients up to 300 lbs. entering and exiting the vehicle.
  •         Driver must be aware of all operations and basic safety/preventive issues of a vehicle to assure client safety.
